Do you have installed the sound driver (snd-driv-0.5.tar.Z from
nic.funet.fi) after installing Linux 0.99.2/3? The sound driver must be
reinstalled since the Linux kernel distribution contains a dummy
Makefile for the sound driver. Compiling with this Makefile will not
include the driver to the kernel.
