Hello, everyone.
I'm currently working on getting xditview to work with Linux. The reason for
this is that I don't want to keep all those TeX fonts around when I already
have the regular X11 fonts installed. Besides, I'm used to xditview on our
machines over here.
The problem I'm having is that groff is looking for some macro file
named 'X'. The command I'm using is 'groff -TX75 xditview.man >xditview.dit'
to format the xditview man page, as a test. I made the appropriate subdir
in the groff font subdir for X75, and ran xtotroff to create the DESC files,
etc. xditview (actually renamed gxditview because that's what groff looks
for) pops up a very familiar window up on the screen, but groff doesn't put
anything in it because it can't find 'X':
'gtroff: fatal error: can't find macro file X'
If anyone out there who has some experience installing this stuff knows
what's going on, please drop me a line.
