Hi guys and thanks Jon for the response. I have the Mac to VGA adapter, in fact I have 3 of them and my current 2 monitors do not sync up right to the mac but work fine on my old PC which is a Pentium 120 with SIS VGA card. One monitor will do 640 x 480 which is supposedly the resolution on the Mac IIci -- however, IIRC there is a sync on green signal which the monitor must support for the Mac and neither of my two do this. So I have the dongle, but need the multisync monitor, or two like I mentioned :-) Hope someone can help. Monitor Needed

Greetings All: I am seeking an older NEC Multisync or Sony Multisync monitor, 15 inch preferred that needs a good home. This is for one of my old systems that I am keeping going! If I can find two of these, that would even be better. The exact NEC model that I would like to find is XE15. Not sure what the Sony counterpart is... the jist is that they must be multisync because the machine is an old Macintosh IIci. Roku XD Demo tonight

I wll be bringing and demoing a Roku XD this evening. It's a tiny embeded linux media center device that plays netflix, amongst many other things. The XD is the last of the breed to output via composite and hdmi, for those of you who like your media without HDCP. I got mine from woot.com for $50.

I did this and was just about to proclaim you the winner, as the machine booted up with 8 gigs! But then I noticed the video card was forcing things to a lower resolution (power saving maybe?)...and when I plugged in a couple of things that hadn't been hooked up yet (speakers and network cable), the machine locked up. Dang. Well, 4 gigs is 4 times better than the 1 gig I had before. The computer is now comfortable to use. Anybody wanna buy the 4 gigs I won't be using? I'll throw in a set of two 512 meg sticks as well. :-) $20 for all...they're all confirmed to work if your machine can pump up the power.
