Folks: I usually get an inbox full of posts to the list, but lately nothing. Am I alone in this or is the list down (if so, why am I sending this? In addition, how will I get an answer if I can't see the list's output?) Could somebody mail me about this situation? (There, that should do it...:-\)

Update on the bad update

Thanks for the help on recovering my system. Still not 100% sure what the pebkac was but everything is running normal again and I am now forging back into getting Fedora 10 to performing the duties that we will need from a desktop OS. Whoops! Caught a bad update

Looks like I caught a bad update from Fedora on Monday - I got the update alert with x number of bugfixes, updates, etc. and reviewed it like I would any windows update - had some dbus bugfixes, some ALSA, and a few others... Went ahead and applied them and then decided that I wanted to tinker with a few other things and add some packages.
